How to Setup the Connector

Step 1: Log in to Docusign

Head to the following URL to log in to the DocuSign Developer Admin portal.

Step 2: Navigate to Apps and Keys

On the DocuSign developer landing page, check on the left side of the page and look for the Integrations section on the left side of the screen, then click Apps and Keys.

Step 3: Collect several account details

Collect the following values from the Apps and Keys page; you will need these in a later step.

  • User ID
  • API Account ID
  • Account Base URI

Step 4: Click the Add App and Integration Key button

Click Add App and Integration Key button to start the app creation process.

Step 5: Give your App a name

Provide a name for your app, use something descriptive, Ex: Clarity Connector, then click Create App.

Step 6: Collect the Integration Key

After the application is created, your Integration key will be presented.  This is also available on the Apps and Keys screen from Step 3.

Step 7: Edit your integration

Find the Integration listing on your Apps and Keys page, and then click the Actions > Edit buttons.

Step 8: Create and collect your secret key

On the Integration edit screen, find the Authentication section.  Select the Authorization Code Grant, then click the Add Secret Key.  This will generate your secret key value; save this value for use in a later step (this value won't be shown again after you leave this page).

Step 9: Create your RSA key

Scroll to the Service Integration section; this is the next section after the Authentication section from the previous step. Click the Generate RSA button, and a pop-up window will appear.

Step 10: Collect your RSA private key

Once you click the Generate RSA button from the previous step, a pop-up window should appear with your Public and Private Keys.  Copy the Private Key value for use in a later step in the Clarity interface (use the copy button from the UI to capture the entire value easily).

Step 11: Additional Settings > Redirect URI

Scroll down to Additional settings, and add a URI for the Redirect URI field.  Then click Save.

You will need to change YOUR_DOMAIN to match the subdomain of your Clarity Security tenant.

Step 12: Log in to Clarity

Login to your Clarity Security tenant.

Step 13: Click on Applications, then Marketplace

Step 14: Find Docusign

Scroll to or search for Docusign in the Marketplace list, then click Connect.

Step 15: Connect App

Complete the App Settings form.  Details for fields common to all applications can be found in the following article: Common App Configuration Steps.

  • integration_key: Paste the Integration Key value captured from Step 6.
  • user_id: Paste the User ID value captured from Step 3.
  • client_secret: Paste the Secret Key value captured from Step 8.
  • base_uri: Paste the Account Base URI value captured from Step 3.
  • account_id: Paste the API Account ID value captured from Step 3.
  • ssl_pem: Paste the SSL Private Key value captured from Step 10.

Step 17: User Settings

Complete the User Settings form, check the table at the top to see if any features are unsupported.  Details for each field can be found in the following article: Common App Configuration Steps.

Step 18: Validate Your Selections and Save

Save
Clicking the Save button will trigger the first full sync for your application (even if you selected Manual syncing).  This includes Service Users, Entitlements, Service User Entitlements, Service User Attributes.
