This guide will teach you how to set up the connector between Google Analytics and Clarity Security.

How to Setup the Connector
Step 1: Log in to the Google Cloud Console

If it's your first time, you'll see a prompt like this, or else move to step 2.
Step 2: Create a new project
Step 3: Enter a Project name and press Create
Step 4: Enable the Content API for Shopping API
Step 5: Search for "Google Analytics Admin"
Step 6: Click it
Step 7: Click Enable.
Step 8: Setup the OAuth Consent Screen
Step 9: Name the app and enter your email
Step 10: Scroll down, enter your email again, Save & Continue
Step 11: Add Scopes
Step 12: Search for Google Analytics Admin API, select 3 checkboxes, then click Update
Step 13: Scroll down, click Save & Continue
Step 14: Add yourself to the Test Users
Step 15: Click Save & Continue
Step 16: Create OAuth 2.0 Credentials
Step 17: Choose "Web application" and name your credentials
Step 18: Add URI. Replace YOUR-TENANT with your Clarity subdomain, and while it doesn't fit in this screenshot, here is the full URI:**
https://YOUR-TENANT.claritysecurity.io/application/oauthProcessCode/google-analytics
Step 19: Copy & Store safely your Client ID & Client Secret for use in Step 21
Step 20: Copy your Analytics Account ID
Go to your Analytics account: https://analytics.google.com/
Step 21: In your Clarity portal: Search for Google Analytics and click Connect
Step 22: Fill out the Connect App form
Values needed from steps 6 & 7:
- client_id
- client_secret
- account_id

Step 25: Validate Your Selections and Save
Clicking the Save button will trigger the first full sync for your application (even if you selected Manual syncing). This includes Service Users, Entitlements, Service User Entitlements, Service User Attributes.
