How to Add an App Owner

This article will walk you through how to Add, Update, or Remove Application Owners in Clarity.

Application Owners

You will need Administrative rights within Clarity to perform some of the actions outlined below.

The following are additional permissions granted to any Identities assigned as an Application Owner, limited to the specific application(s):

  • View the application admin and marketplace

  • View details about their application

  • Update configurations for their application

  • Delete their application

  • Perform a manual sync of their application

  • Delete attribute mappings for their application

  • View entitlement details for their application's entitlements

  • View the entitlements (list) admin

Step 1: Log in to Clarity

Step 2: Click Applications

Click on the Applications button on the left sidebar navigation menu.

Step 3: Select the Application you want

Find the Application you want to change the Application Owners for, and click the name (see red box below).

Step 4: Click the Pen/Pencil Icon

Click the Pen/Pencil icon in the top right corner of the application page (see the image below).

Step 5: Look for the Application Owners section

Look for the App Owners field, this should be in the top half of the modal just below the Sync Options field.

Step 6: Add, Update, or Remove Application Owners

Adding/Updating

Click into the App Owners field, and start typing the name of an Active Identity within your Clarity tenant.  Select the name from the list, and you should see them get added to the box.

Remove

If you want to remove an Application Owner already in the list, look for the small x in a circle to the right of their name, then click that x to remove them. (Don’t forget the next step to save the change.)

Step 7: Click Update Application

Scroll to the bottom of Application Update modal, and click the Update Application button to save the changes you made.
