This guide will teach you how to set up the connector between Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and Clarity Security.

How to Setup the Connector
Step 1: Log in to Azure
- Navigate to https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/active-directory/ & click the Sign in button in the upper right corner.
Step 2: Click the More Services button
Step 3: Search for App registrations and click on it
Step 4: Click New registration
Step 5: Fill out the form, and Register your new application
- Name: Clarity-Business-Center-Connector
- Supported account types: Accounts in this organization directory only.
- Redirect URL: Set to Web & enter the following into the text box https://yourtenantname.claritysecurity.io/application/oauthProcessCode/microsoft-dynamics-business-central
Step 6: Copy the Application (client) ID and the Directory (tenant) ID
- The Application (client) ID will be used as your client_id in Clarity
- The Directory (tenant) ID will be used as your tenant_id in Clarity
We will reference both of these values later, so keep them on hand for the configuration process.
Step 7: In the sidebar, select the Certificates & secrets and then click the New client secret button
Step 8: Create a description for your new client secret, set the Expires value to 24 months, and click Add
Step 9: Copy your new Client secret value
- This will be used as your client_secret value in Clarity.
This value will be referenced later, so keep it on hand for the configuration process.
Step 10: Navigate to https://businesscentral.dynamics.com/YOURTENANTID/admin
- Replace YOURTENANTID with Directory (tenant) ID from Step 6
Step 11: Under the Environments tab, find and copy the name of your Business Central Environment
This value will be referenced later, so keep it on hand for the configuration process.
Step 12: Log into Clarity Security
Step 13: Click On Applications and select Marketplace
Step 14: Search for Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and click Connect
Step 15: Fill out the Connect App form and click Validate
- Client_id: Obtained in Step 6
- Tenant_id: Obtained in Step 6
- Client_secret: Obtained in Step 9
- Environment_name: Obtained in Step 11

Step 16: Fill out the App Settings form and click Next
Step 17: Fill out the User Settings form and click Save
The table at the top of this article lists the supported features of this connector.
Save
Clicking the Save button will trigger the first full sync for your application (even if you selected Manual syncing). This includes Service Users, Entitlements, Service User Entitlements, Service User Attributes.
