New Feature: One Click Connection for Entra ID (and more coming)
Getting data into Clarity is incredibly important; we are only as valuable as the access we manage. To that end, Clarity has created a new marketplace token exchange method, known as GATE (Gateway for Authentication and Token Exchange). This new authentication layer enables one click connection flows for integrations that exist as part of a marketplace.
The first integration we have migrated to the new authentication method is Entra ID. Rather than needing to create an azure marketplace application and permissions manually, and then generate tokens in a multi-step process, there’s now a “connect” button that handles the same work in just one click.
Clarity intends to extend this authentication method to new applications and our existing marketplace (where supported), significantly speeding up new connections and onboarding for major enterprise applications.
New Feature: New "Role Change" Workflow Trigger
Clarity has had an “identity modified” workflow trigger for a long time. As we’ve extended into more and more functionality around RBAC, it’s become clear that when an identity attribute used in the role hierarchy is modified, different workflow steps are required than if someone's last name changes, as an example.
Clarity has introduced a new “Role changed” workflow trigger, allowing the creation of role change specific workflows (ex. terminate all prior role access) without impacting the normal identity modified workflows.
New Feature: Email Address Generation During Identity Creation
When creating new identities during the provisioning flow it’s very common to also need to create an email address. Previously Clarity would request the email address to be manually entered for the new identity, which caused friction in the on-boarding process.
Now Clarity will automatically create a unique email address following your preferred username format, preventing identity conflicts and removing a manual step during the deployment flow.
Coming Soon: New In-App Support Portal
Clarity will soon be releasing a new support portal that will provide in-app access to creating tickets, and exploring our knowledge base without leaving the app. There will also be a self-service portal that will allow customers to track the status of their open tickets with us.
