Requesting access for your own account works the same way it does for any user — with one extra control on the page because you also have the ability to request for others.
Who this is for: Managers and admins (anyone who manages direct reports in Clarity). Where it happens: Manage Access → Request Access (/access-hub/access/request-access).
The only meaningful difference from the end-user flow is the Select User field at the top of the page. As a manager you can request for yourself, for team members, or both. To request for yourself, simply leave the field set to you. To request for others, see Request Access for Others (Manager).
Step by step
1. Open the Request Access page
Click Manage Access in the left navigation (or use the Request Access quick action on the Dashboard).
2. Confirm the request is for you
At the top of the page is a Select User field. Because you’re a manager, this control is visible and it is pre-filled with your own account by default.
To request for yourself, leave Select User as-is (just you).
The field supports selecting more than one person, so make sure no extra people are selected if this request is meant for you alone.
You must have at least one person selected before you can add items to your cart. If the cart button is disabled, check that Select User still has you (or someone) selected.
3. Browse and add access to your cart
Use Browse available access to search, then on each bundle/entitlement card:
Choose a Duration — 24 Hours, 7 Days, 14 Days, 30 Days, 60 Days, 90 Days, or Permanent.
Click Add to Cart.
Add as many items as you need. A counter shows “{n} Item(s) in cart.”
4. Review the cart
Click Review Request Cart (top of the page, shows the item count) or Review Cart on the floating cart card. The summary panel “Selected Entitlement Request Groups” opens.
5. Finalize and submit
In the summary panel:
Confirm “Request access for:” shows you.
Set the Duration — per item, or check “Set one duration for all requests” to apply a single duration to everything.
Fill in Add Justification — required.
Adjust the item table if needed (change a Duration, or Remove an item).
Click Submit Requests.
You’ll get a confirmation that your Access Requests were submitted, and the cart clears.
Reminder shown in the panel: “Duration of access will start from date of approval.”
What happens next
The request becomes Pending and is routed to the appropriate approver/resource owner.
Track it on the Dashboard → My Open Requests card or on the Open Requests page. Use the My Requests toggle to see just the requests made by or for you.
It resolves to Approved (access provisioned) or Denied.
Note: Requesting access for yourself does not mean you approve it yourself. It still follows your organization’s approval routing. Approving requests is a separate task — see Approve a Request.
Tips & troubleshooting
The cart button is disabled. You need both at least one item selected and at least one person in Select User. As a manager the user field can be emptied — re-select yourself.
I accidentally added a teammate. Remove them from the Select User field before submitting, or remove items from the cart summary. Otherwise the request will be created for them too.
Submit is greyed out. You’re missing a justification or a duration on an item.
